A female student of the Shehu Shagari College of Education in Sokoto State, identified as Deborah, was on Thursday, set ablaze for making an alleged anti-Muslim remark on Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W).
According to reports, the event that sparked tension at the school occurred on Thursday morning.
Deborah, the student, was reportedly beaten to a pulp before being set on fire. Some male students were seen tossing stones at the victim in a viral video.
The perpetrators were seen piling tyres around Deborah as she lay unconscious on the ground before setting her on fire.
The video has further sparked outrage on the Nigerian Internet space as many condemn the extrajudicial killing of Deborah.
