David Adeleke, a.k.a. Davido, one of Nigeria’s top music talents, paid £5,000 (N2,716,590.17) for a T-Shirt from colleague, Zlatan Ibile. ayokinews.com reports
“I don’t know how much this shirt costs, but we don’t buy anything for the same price. I’m the first to do it; I’m paying five thousand pounds for this shirt,” Davido said upon purchasing the item.
Last month, the musician chose to give back to society by donating N250 million to orphanages around Nigeria as part of his birthday celebrations.
He also established a five-person committee to oversee the fund’s disbursement.
Last Saturday, Davido announced that his N250 million orphanage fund had received over 1,234 applications.
