Ebonyi state Governor, David Umahi, has on Tuesday, declared his interest to run for president in 2023, at the State House in Abuja. ayokinews.com reports
Umahi’s announcement comes just 24 hours after the former Lagos state Governor and APC National Leader, Ahmed Bola Tinubu, declared his ambition to run for president also in 2023.
The two politicians are both members of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC).

Speaking at a press conference following his meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari, Umahi noted that if he is elected as president, his government will replicate the progressive development in Ebonyi at the federal level thus boosting the country in all sectors.
Umahi stated that he wants to bring a business-like mindset to governance at the federal level.
He further said that President Muhammadu Buhari has reacted to his ambition by telling him to seek for Nigerians support.
