The Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello, has described the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) naira redesign policy as a policy of confiscation, saying that President Muhammadu Buhari, was tricked and deceived.
Bello made this known while speaking at an interview on Channels Television programme, ‘Politics Today’, on Friday.
The governor said, “The policy is more or less a policy of confiscation, packaged so beautifully, but Mr. President was deceived.”
When asked to mention the names to those who deceived the President, Bello said, “those that advised Mr. President economically misled Mr. President.”
The Supreme Court had on Friday, in a ruling, nullified the ban on the use of old notes N200, N500 and N1000 notes as legal tender.
