Hon. Solomon Abel Eke, the Chairman of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area in Rivers State, has discovered an illegal bunkering facility guarded by men of the Nigeria Police Force. ayokinews.com reports
Recall that the Rivers state Governor Nyesom Wike, reacted to the soot pollution in Port Harcourt by announcing a crackdown on unlicensed oil refineries and declared 19 people wanted.
According to the Street Journal, the Rivers State Police Command recently detained five members of the same family and 13 others for allegedly running an illegal refinery in South-South state.

However, a video circulating on social media shows the chairman of Obio/Akpor LGA and his crew, burst one of such clandestine refineries, while being prevented from demolishing the illegal bunkering site by police officers.
The footage shows police officers fully armed and in uniform resisting other security agents in the chairman’s entourage, resulting in a confrontation between the security personnel.
