The Delta State traditional rulers have reported appealed to the people of the state to be security conscious following the terror threat issued by the Fulani Jihadist group against the state. ayokinews.com reports
The advice was clearly stated in a communique issued by the monarchs during a meeting in Asaba on Saturday 19th June, 2021.
The communique reads; “The monarchs urged all communities in Delta State to immediately activate their local security apparatus and be ready and prepared to ward off any form of threat to peace and security in their area.
“Royal fathers tasked security agencies in the state not to treat the purported threat with levity but extend their dragnets to all nooks and crannies of the state with a view to nipping unwholesome activities of criminal elements in the bud.”
This is coming barely one week after several life threatening letters written by the Fulani Jihadist group were found at strategic locations in the state.
