The Governor of Katsina state, Aminu Bello-Masari, has reveled that about 10 Local Government Areas (LGAs) are under the control of armed bandits in the state. ayokinews.com reports
The Governor made the chilling revelation while receiving the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant-General Faruk Yahaya, on Thursday.
The Governor specifically told the COAS President Muhammadu Buhari’s home state is currently being overrun by armed banfits and that 10 LGAs in the state had already been taken over by the armed men.
Governor Massa lamented the worsening insecurity in the country thereby urging the new COAS to step up his game in defeating the current threatening situation while also calling on all good and peace loving Nigerians to join hands collectively with the government and military so as to combat the rising insecurity.

Speaking at the courtesy visit was the COAS, Lieutenant-General Faruk Yahaya, who assured the Governor and Nigerians of a steady and continued protection of lives and properties.
