Ayokinews.com has learned that armed bandits has on Thursday 10th June, 2021, attacked another Nigerian Tertiary Institution in Kaduna state. The bandits were said to have abducted two Academic Staffs, three students and also killed one student after invading the Nuhu Bamali Polytechnic in Zaria Local Government Area of the state.
According to an eye witness who spoke to FIJ, he noted that “the incident happened around 10 to 11pm yesterday. We heard the gunshots but did not know what happened in the school because we were behind the school’s compound.
“As of this morning, we got information that two academic staff were abducted; one Mr. Habila Nasai and Mallam Adamu Shika. Also, the wife and two children of Mallam Ahmed Abdullahi were kidnapped but later released this morning.
“Three unidentified students were also kidnapped. One of those kidnapped is Ahmed, he is in HND Two Statistics. Two students were shot by the gunmen, one died while the other is receiving treatment”.
According to information gathered, it was learned that this isn’t the first time the school is witnessing a bandit attack as there has been little or no effort from the state and federal government to curb the growing attacks on the country’s Tertiary Institutions.
“We have always had insecurity situations in the school but all Nasir el-Rufai knows is money. He increased the tuition fees. It was so bad that students staying on campus were told to leave because of insecurity,” a source said.
