Nigerian Afrobeat sensation, Ahmed Ololade, stage named Asake, has added a new accomplishment to his records as his music album, “Mr Money With The Vibes” was announced the highest-charting debut Nigerian album on Billboard in 2022.
This was made known in a music chart data posted via Twitter.
“In 2022, @asakemusik’s ‘Mr. Money With The Vibe’ became the highest-charting debut Nigerian album of all time on the Billboard.”
The 12-track album debuted at number 66 on the Billboard 200, making it the highest-charting start for a Nigerian album, and at number 2 on the Billboard World Album Chart.
On September 8, 2022, the number-one album in Nigeria debuted and quickly rose to the top of the charts.
The album, which was released before the end of 2022, hit the top 1–10 tracks on Apple Music within the first week of release.
