Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma claimed that in 2023, the All Progressives Congress (APC) would win the South-East.
The Governor claimed that it was the only party with structures, which cuts across Nigeria’s 774 Local Government Areas (LGAs).
The chairman of the South-East APC Presidential Campaign Council addressed party candidates on Thursday.
According to Uzodinma, the seminar’s objective was to ensure that the election campaign was effective before casting a ballot.
He remarked that since entering office, President Muhammadu Buhari has made significant contributions to the southeast region.
Listing the APC led government achievement, he mentioned the ongoing renovation of the Imo University Teaching Hospital in Orlu, the second Niger Bridge, federal highway repairs, the creation of a naval base in Oguta LGA, among others.
Uzodinma further warned the Igbos not to believe those who proclaim South-East presidency but did not support aspirants from the zone during the APC primary election.
“There is the need for the South-East to take their destiny in their own hands”, the Imo helmsman added.
