A group of patrolling bandits “arrested” a scavenger in Katsina State, and turned him over to the police for stealing.
The scavenger, whose identity could not immediately be ascertained, is said to have made a specialty of taking iron bars and metal rods from abandoned structures in a desolate town.
However, luck ran out of him when he was arrested by the bandits, who were conducting an area “patrol” with their motorcycles.
According to PRNigeria, it was captured on video that the bandit-terrorists paraded the scavenger and his stolen metal rods before a community leader in the state.
Although, the incident’s timing could not be determined from the video, but the bandits were seen cautioning the burglar against stealing.

“Don’t you know that it is a criminal offence to steal? You are lucky that we are handing you over to the authorities; we could have executed for engaging in criminal activities,” the bandits said in their local Hausa dialect.
The community leader was further instructed by the bandits, who were heavily armed, to see that the “scavenger thief” was dealt with legally in order to prevent others from also stealing.
The bandits handed over to the Katsina village chief their suspect, and instructed him to make sure that the suspect was also sent to the police for additional questioning.
It should be noted that the Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari, hails from Katsina State, which has now turned to a breeding hotspot for terrorism, banditry and kidnappings.
