The Nigerian federal government has on Tuesday 29th June, 2021, announced the arrest of Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. ayokinews.com reports
This was made public by the Attorney General to the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mr. Abubakar Malami (SAN), while speaking to journalists in Abuja.
Malami stated that the IPOB leader was arrested through a joint collaborative operation between the Nigerian security agencies and INTERPOL.
He further stated that Nnamdi January was going to continue his trial on charges bordering on terrorism, treasonable felony, unlawful possession of firearms and management of an unlawful society.
