A Special Offences Court seated in Ikeja, has found popular Nollywood actor, Olanrewaju James, alias ‘Baba Ijesha’, of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old minor.
In a two-hour ruling on Thursday, Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo found Baba Ijesha guilty of sexual assault, attempted sexual assault, and indecently treating a minor.
However, Taiwo cleared him and found him not guilty of charges one and six, which were sexual assault by penetration and attempted sexual assault by penetration, respectively.

She claimed that the prosecution had not shown beyond a reasonable doubt that the defendant was guilty of all charge counts.
Justice Taiwo handed down a judgment in the case and gave Baba Ijesha a 16-year jail term.
The judge claims that the offenses committed by Baba Ijesha violate Sections 135, 137, 261, 202, 262, and 263 of the 2015 Lagos State Criminal Law, which mandates life in prison for offenders.
