The bid for release by Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), was unsuccessful.
Kanu’s bail request was denied by Justice Binta Nyako of the Abuja Federal High Court on Tuesday.
The IPOB leader requested the court’s approval to overturn the previous decision cancelling his application for bail.

Giving her verdict, Justice Binta Nyako determined that Kanu had not shown enough justification for the court to vacate its judgment.
As a result, she denied the application on the grounds that it was an abuse of the legal process.
