Vince McMahon involved in a $3 million alleged sex scandal
Vince McMahon, the CEO of World Wide Entertainment (WWE) and John Hodger Laurinaitis; WWE’s Head of Talent Relations are currently being investigated by the WWE board of directors following allegations from an anonymous email relating to an alleged sex scandal which involved McMahon, a former employee, a $3 million non-disclosure fee to keep her silent; and other extramarital affairs he has been having with previous employees.
“My friend was so scared so she quit after Vince McMahon and lawyer Jerry McDevitt paid her millions of dollars to shut up.” This was written in the email, which according to reports was sent by someone who claimed to be friends with the woman involved in an alleged relationship with McMahon.
Based on the allegations; Vince McMahon hired the woman and doubled her salary (from $100,000 to $200,000) after she agreed to have a sexual relationship with him. The email also alleged that McMahon “gave her like a toy” to senior members of the organization, including the head of the talent relations department; John Laurinaitis.
McMahon paid the former employee $3 million so she could sign a non-disclosure contract, and this contract was signed on January this year. This contract restricted her from telling the public about their affair.
While the board continued carrying out their investigation; they uncovered other previous nondisclosure scandals and misconduct from McMahon and Laurinaitis.
A WWE spokesperson stated that the company is cooperating with the ongoing investigation but the sexual relationship between McMahon and the woman was “consensual”.
Vincent Kennedy McMahon is a professional wrestling promoter, media proprietor, owner of Alpha Entertainment, and CEO of the entertainment company, WWE which hauls in nearly $1 billion in annual revenue. He is married to Linda McMahon; former United States Administrator of the Small Business Administration.
This is not the first time Vince McMahon is being accused of misconduct, in fact; McMahon is known for treating women disgracefully. A good example is the case of Canadian wrestler; Trish Stratos who was forced to embarrass herself by barking like a bitch on her fours.
