Alhaji Oriyomi Hamzat, an Ibadan-based broadcaster, has been arrested by the police. ayokinews.com reports
According to reports, Hamzat, the owner of Agidigbo FM, was apprehended by the Nigerian Police Force’s Federal Intelligence Bureau on Thursday morning, in Ibadan, Oyo state.
Sources familiar with the incident confirmed that Hamzat has been transported to Abuja for questioning.
The cause for his detention is yet to be revealed to the public.
However, sources claim that his detention is linked to his participation in the ongoing investigation into the death of late Timothy Adegoke.

Hamzat had been campaigning for justice over the killing of Timothy Adegoke, a Master’s student at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) in Ile-Ife at the time of his death.
Timothy is said to have been murdered in a hotel belonging to Chief Rahmon Adedoyin, in Ile-Ife, Osun state.
The hotel owner, Chief Rahmon Adedoyin and his employees have been detained in connection with Timothy Adegoke’s death and are currently standing trial over the case.
