Owner of Oduduwa University, Chief Rahmon Adedoyin and six others, accused in the killing of Timothy Adegoke have been remanded in jail by an Osun state high court in Osogbo. ayokinews.com reports
The presiding judge, Justice Oyebola Adepele-Ojo, issued the order at the suspects’ arraignment on Thursday.
They should be remanded to the Ilesa penitentiary facility, according to the judge.
Adegoke, Adedeji Adesola, Magdalene Chiefuna, Adeniyi Aderogba, Oluwale Lawrence, Oyetunde Kazeem, and Adebayo Kunle are among the suspects.
On November 5, Adegoke, an Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) postgraduate student, was claimed to have traveled from Abuja to a distant learning center in Moro, Osun state, to write an exam.
He was reported missing two days later, only to be discovered dead.
The police had apprehended Adedoyin and six other suspects, all of whom were believed to be employees of the Hilton Hotels and Resorts in Ile-Ife, Osun state, where the deceased lodged.

The hotel is owned by Adedoyin. Their arrest was linked to the death of the student.
The defendants face an 11-count charge that includes conspiracy and murder, among other things, despite the fact that they have all pled not guilty to the allegations.
During the court session, the attorneys for the defendants filed bail application for the first through sixth accused.
The prosecutor, on the other hand, was against the bail application.
The court postponed the case until Friday to hear the bail application, with the trial set to resume in full on Monday.
