In his New Year greeting to Nigerians on Friday, he issued the charge to usher in the year 2022.
The President also asked all citizens to join forces in the fight to keep the country united in the face of adversity, regardless of religion or political affiliation.
He admitted that the country’s main goal of placing the country on an irreversible road of prosperity and progress may have been compromised by chronic instability in some sections of the country.

President Buhari, on the other hand, indicated that the administration would keep its commitments and carry out its goals and objectives.
To accomplish so, he underlined that standing together in the face of adversity was far more than the sum of its parts, and that it would ultimately be more profitable and viable.
The President also used the occasion to highlight some of his administration’s achievements so far, as well as what Nigerians can expect in the areas of security, economy, and anti-corruption, among other things.
