Kanye West, the controversial musician, has purchased a new home right across the street from his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, who is currently undergoing divorce proceedings.
This comes after Kanye promised to “bring his family back together” and revive his connection with estranged wife Kim Kardashian during a Thanksgiving ceremony in Los Angeles last month, where he gave 1000 free meals.
If he couldn’t live “in the house” with his family, the fashion mogul said he’d buy “the home directly next door” to Kardashian.
Despite the fact that he already owns a new $57.3 million Malibu mansion about 30 minutes (by car) from Kardashian’s Hidden Hills estate — and despite the fact that she still wants a divorce — West has spent $4.5 million on a more modest Hidden Hills estate directly across the street from his former matrimonial home.

Last year, Architectural Digest featured Kim and Kanye’s home. Kardashian paid West $23 million in October to buy out his 50% ownership in the multi-acre property.
Kanye’s new home, which is around 3,600 square feet and was built in 1955, has four bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. A guest studio with additional bedroom and full bathroom is attached to the garage and is best suited for personnel.
The equestrian ranch is slightly over an acre in size and features horse barns as well as some antiquated interiors with wall-to-wall carpeting.
Kanye West apparently desired the property so much that he paid $421,000 more than the asking price to obtain it.
