Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni, has urged all politicians in his state to empower the youths so as to enable them become self-reliant. ayokinews.com reports
Buni made this known in a statement released by his Director-General, Press and Media Affairs, Alhaji Mamman Mohammed, when political leaders from the state Zone B paid him a visit at his office in Damaturu.
According to Governor Buni, empowering the youths would yield a positive result for the Nigerian economy and also reduce the high rate of insecurity in the country.
“Political stalwarts, elites and appointees must invest in the youths through economic empowerment, and offering scholarships to those from indigent families, to give them a future and to take them away from social vices,” Buni said.
