A Nigerian soldier named Adeoye Oluwole, has been accused of beating to death a 22-year old boy for slapping his daughter Precious Adeoye, during a quarrel in church. ayokinews.com reports
The tragic incident which took place in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun state, on Friday August 25th, 2021, followed after the deceased, Hope Tava Anthony, confronted the soldier’s daughter, Precious Adeoye, on the grounds of insulting their Reverend Father.
Information gotten from sources revealed that Precious Adeoye further insulted the deceased (Anthony) along with his late father, an act which made Anthony slap her.
According to a source, “The matter was later resolved and the both of them were punished in church. But she went home to report to her father, who picked Anthony up and took him to the Ilese Sappers Barracks, where he beat him mercilessly.

“It was people around that begged for him before the soldier allowed him to go after receiving severe beating. On getting home, Anthony refused to tell his widowed mother what happened, maybe he didn’t want to hurt her.
“He complained of headache and body pain and said he needed some rest. He went to bed on Friday Night and never woke up. He was taken to the hospital on Saturday, where the doctors confirmed that he died of internal bleeding.
“He was the only son of his mother. She’s devastated and don’t know what to do,” the source said.
