The Governor of Yobe state and Chairman, All Progressives Congress (APC) Caretaker and Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC), Mai Mala Buni, has explained to Nigerians reasons why the ruling party is battling with various crisis. ayokinews.com reports
Governor Buni who was represented at the APC appeal committees inauguration by the Secretary APC CECPC, John Akpanudoedehe, stated at the congress to produce the party national organs started on the 31st of July and went as planned.
“However, it is expected that wherever and whenever there is a competition, of course, there is bound to be contestations,” he added.
He further stated that the appeal committee is being inaugurated as a channel for aggrieved members of the party who aren’t happy with the processes.
“This party is for all Nigerians. Therefore we must show, not only by words but by concrete actions, that there’s no attempt to exclude or sideline anybody in the course of the exercise,” Buni stated.

Speaking on the recent Supreme Course judgment of the Ondo state election, Buni noted that the judgement firmly strengthened the position of the CECPC including the party Chairman.
“The majority judgment of the Supreme Court has strengthened the position of the CECPC and our chairman. The minority judgment serves only for academic purposes, nothing more.
“The Attorney-General of the Federation, who is the chief law officer of the federation, has stated that we are on firm ground and advised that we proceed with the processes of the congresses.”
