Nigerian-British boxing champion, Anthony Joshua, has been booked to defend his World Boxing Association, International Boxing Federation and World Boxing Organisation heavyweight titles against Oleksandr Usyk on September 25. ayokinews.com reports
This was made public by Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, who stated that the fight would be held on the 25th of September, 2021, at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.
Speaking with Matchroom Sport, Anthony Joshua said, “The date is set and we are fully locked in.
“I put it all on the line again and it’s time to defend my crown.”
Joshua was earlier booked to fight Tyson Fury in a unification bout in August, a fight which was to take place in Saudi Arabia, but was unfortunately disrupted after a United States arbitration court ruled that Tyson Fury must once again defend his World Boxing Council champion title against Deontay Wilder as slated in their fight contract.
