Chief Dele Momodu, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and former presidential candidate, has slammed the Judges of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal.
Momodu, who is a close associate of the Peoples Democratic Party’s candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, accused the five-man panel led by Justice Haruna Tsammani of turning the country’s constitution upside-down.
Recall that on Wednesday, the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal ruled against the petition of the Peoples Democratic Party, Allied Peoples Movement and Labour Party.
The court in its ruling, upheld the election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress.
Having failed to get the desired victory at the Tribunal, Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar have vowed to challenge the ruling at the Supreme Court.
Reacting to the verdict, Dele Momodu said: “I watched in utter amazement and wonderment how our Constitution was brazenly and deliberately turned upside down by those who lack a sense of history and care less about the verdict of history.
“What all men and women of good conscience should have for them is pity and not anger… NIGERIA SHALL BE FREE…,” Momodu wrote on his Twitter (X) handle.
