Nigeria’s Vice President Kashim Shettima, has vowed to retire the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar from active politics.
Shettima who addressed pressmen after the conclusion of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal verdict, said he was going to retire Atiku to Kombina, not Dubai or Morocco, where he would rear animals.
Recall that on Wednesday, the five-man panel led by Justice Haruna Tsammani striked out the suits of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Labour Party, challenging the victory of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The Tribunal, having assessed the petition of the various parties, ruled in favor of the respondents, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, his Vice Kashim Shettima and the All Progressives Congress (APC).
While the APM’s move isn’t yet known, the Labour Party and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have rejected the ruling, vowing to contest the decision at the Supreme Court.
However, VP Shettima said the was going to buy Atiku Abubakar goats and broilers to rear in retirement.
Speaking to pressmen, Shettima said: “We are not going to retire Atiku Abubakar to Dubai or Morocco. I will retire him to Kombina, I will buy him goats and broilers and layers so that he can spend his days rearing goats and broilers.”
