Governor of Imo state, Hope Uzodinma, has said that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) doesn’t have any plans for Igbo Presidency ahead of the 2023 presidential election. ayokinews.com reports
The governor made this known in a bid to debunk insinuation of the APC zoning its 2023 presidency to the south-eastern Nigeria.
Speaking on Channels TV, Uzodinma noted that the All Progressive Congress (APC) is looking for a good Nigerian President to champion the cause of the country.
“We as a party APC believe what we are practicing here is partisan democracy and every politician must be loyal to his party. At the end of the day it is the decision of the party that you belong to that will matter.”

He further stated that the visit of President Muhammadu Buhari to Imo state has nothing to do with the coming 2023 election and that he came on a working visit to the state.
“Our people came out to receive the president who visited Imo State in solidarity with the governor of Imo State. It has nothing to do with the 2023 election or politics.
“We only received the president who came on a working visit, commissioned projects and had an interaction with us,” Governor Uzodinma said.
