The All Progressives Congress (APC), has officially unveiled the former Governor of Borno State, Kashim Shettima as the party’s vice-presidential candidate ahead of the 2023 general election.
Shettima was on Wednesday, unveiled as the APC’s vice-presidential candidate at an event organized in Abuja.
This was disclosed by President Muhammadu Buhari’s former Personal Assistant on New Media, Bashir Ahmad, via a tweet.
“Our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), unveils Senator Kashim Shettima as the running mate of our presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” he tweeted.

Bola Ahmed Tinubu (BAT), the APC presidential candidate, had chosen Kashim Shettima to be his running mate despite a heated debate across Nigeria on his choice of a Muslim-Muslim ticket.
Nigerians, especially the Christian community had raced concerns about the choice of Tinubu Muslim-Muslim ticket, arguing that the religious combination wasn’t right, considering the long history of religious intolerance in the country.
